What do you get?

I hear many sayings in our industry on that subject.

“You get who you are.”

“You get what you deserve.”

“You get the same value you provide.”

“If you want more, give more.”

This one makes the most sense to me:

You get what you repeat.     –James Clear, author of “Atomic Habits”

For a referral partner struggling to connect with highly influential people, it brings hope.

For a new distributor learning sales skills, it brings promise of mastery.

For a client searching for motivation to get into better shape while they drink your company’s protein shake each morning, it brings the possibility that the boring, frustrating, and sore-muscle workouts will someday bear fruit. And the money spent will be worth it.

Mind you, it doesn’t mean one should blindly repeat an action. The author explains how to choose the action(s) to mold into habit(s) that will propel you in the direction you want. He also gives obvious credit to the authors whose research helped him develop his own methods.

I find the book fascinating, and I continue reading and absorbing his methodology.
