Apples Forever

I heard Teresa Romain’s story in person many years ago, and I stumbled upon this re-telling video yesterday.

Take 10 minutes and watch… This may help you shift your mindset to an abundant one.

(You might need to log into Facebook. Video found at “Teresa Romain & Access Abundance” page, video named “Day 21 of 25 in the #GoingForBreakthrough and #SupportingYou Challenge”. I receive no compensation for sharing her video).

Thank you

Tomorrow marks my 4th anniversary of publishing this blog.

After several hours of writing and refining the story, my heart was pounding as I clicked “Publish” on that first post. I felt vulnerable and hoped the public would treat me kindly as I learned the basic concepts of blogging. I launched it the day I submitted my final markups to my first article in “Networking Times” magazine.

This blog has been a way for me to build on ideas in that original article, as well as a thought-provoking way to share my observations about our industry. I appreciate your time as you read and respond to my posts. Thanks for being kind to this rookie blogger! I look forward to sharing insights with you during the upcoming 12 months.

Wishing you the very best,

“The rich get richer”

In the past 24 hours, my business mentor posted that common saying on social media. He asked, How does that make you feel? Does it turn you off? Turn you on?

Here’s my reply.

It makes me curious.

I ask, “Why do you say that?”

If it’s an observation, then I feel excited…that’s a person who *might* be open to what I have to offer (learning a method to join “the richer”), or who might have a growth mindset.

If it is an excuse to stay stuck, then I feel frustrated and sad that they’re not ready to meet the generous and high-integrity people I have met nor to learn the amazing things I have learned on this financial journey.

How do you react to the original statement?

The only constant in this world…

The only constant in this world … is change, according to the Greek philosopher named Heraclitus.

So “the constant” happened again in my company. Another tweak– this time a major one– to our compensation plan.

I can choose to feel angry about all the changes, or I can gracefully accept them.

(Personally, I think this batch is a significant improvement. And the changes I have seen throughout these years have almost always been immediate improvements.)

In the eleven years I have spent with my current company, there have been many changes. New presentations. New DVDs (remember those?), and then phasing them out to rely on streaming video instead. New bonuses, shifts in compensation rewarding long-term customer gathering, and new rank advancement requirements. Upper-level corporate officers coming and going. New marketing materials (requiring me to pitch the old, outdated ones.)

What has stayed the same? The mission of the company. Its heart and purpose for existing.

In every company, some things are consistent.

Are they the policies and attitudes that matter to you?

Let your outward response be in alignment with that answer.
